The 2019 SHOT Show Was Epic: Here's a Recap

The 2019 SHOT Show Was Epic: Here's a Recap

Weapon enthusiasts and manufacturers came together in January 2019 for the annual SHOT Show, a massive industry trade event that combines guns, ammo and gear and is the venue for introducing some of the hottest new options to the world. This year was no slouch, with Winchester debuting new 350 Legend ammo, Mossberg bringing their MC1 sub-compact 9mm pistol and a new Ruger Hawkeye Long-Range Target. Springfield Armory also introduced their new 911 in 9mm at the show this year. See what each of these new offerings bring to the world of shooting

Winchester 350 Legend Ammunition

Winchester calls their new 350 ammo "Straight Up Legendary" on the packaging and for good reason — it stole all the accolades from enthusiasts at the SHOT Show. The design makes it legal in all states except 3, which is a huge boon for hunters. With a shell case length of 1.71 inches, the new 350 Legend shells are ideal for individuals looking for larger game. The balance of the ammo is fantastic, offering less recoil and more energy than a .30-30.

Mossberg MC1 Sub-Compact 9mm Pistol

No, your eyes are not deceiving you — Mossberg just introduced a 9mm pistol aimed at the concealed carry and personal security market. After 100 years of being known for their shotguns and rifles, the iconic manufacturer surprised the SHOT Show attendees with an MC1sc pistol that has aggressive signature grip texturing for a firm grip and includes two single-stack magazines.

Springfield Armory 911 in 9mm

One of the highlights of the SHOT Show every year is the opportunity for industry professionals to check out the best of the new options at the Industry Day at the Range. The Springfield Armory 911 in 9mm was one of the many choices available for review, and it was very well-received. With a Pro-Glo Tritium Night Sight, Octo-Grip textured frame and black nitride finish; this gun definitely stands out from the crowd.

Ruger Hawkeye Long-Range Target

Ruger's newest precision rifle is made to stand out, with ambidextrous sling mounts and plenty of spaces for accessories. Chambering is for 6.5 PRC and 6.5 Creedmoor and both options are built on Ruger's M77 Hawkeye action that also features an adjustable comb and pull length. With this new offering, Ruger adds a more traditional feel to their portfolio of fine weapons.
